LITTLE COMPTON, R.I. — Taylor Johnston wants to “poke all the bears” surrounding a proposed pipeline expansion that would impact parts of the rural town.
Johnston, a trustee on the Little Compton Agricultural Conservancy Trust, submitted a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in July outlining what Algonquin Gas Transmission’s proposed pipeline expansion could mean for farmland, natural resources, and historical sites.
But as the trustees wait to see what happens next, Johnston is thinking beyond the letter and wants to know how much influence the board can have in shaping the project before it’s too late…
