SAN FRANCISCO, CA — On March 24, 2026, at approximately 10:43 p.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a reported shooting on the 1800 block of Sunnydale Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds and rendered initial medical aid. Paramedics subsequently transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail assumed control of the investigation. Through investigative efforts, detectives identified 32-year-old Gregory C. Morton as the suspect in the shooting, and an arrest warrant was issued.
