FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Yes, you read that right. Yet another chance at storms this morning and afternoon as well as renewed flooding concerns with these storms throughout your Saturday.
In terms of storms, we are expecting two rounds of development. The first will be this morning, from roughly 8am-1pm. A line of storms developing to our west will move in and pose a threat for gusty winds and flooding to many areas that are already waterlogged. A brief spin-up tornado is possible along the leading edge of storms today, but that threat remains low.
Timing of the first round of storms this morning will be crucial for diagnosing the timing and strength of the second round of storms, expected by mid to late afternoon. If this morning’s storms persist and use up energy for storm development, then the afternoon round may become a bit reduced in terms of severe weather.
