GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Murrels Inlet woman and a teenage boy have been arrested after a 20-year-old man was allegedly assaulted, kidnapped, and taken to Conway Friday night, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received a report around 10 p.m. that Alexander Williamson was missing and had last been seen at Luther Alston Park on Old Kings Highway. Williamson’s girlfriend, Novella Hyman, told deputies he had been assaulted in a nearby ditch.
Investigators said interviews with Williamson and several witnesses indicated he had been assaulted and forced into a vehicle, allegedly by two of Hyman’s family members.
