I-476 Night Work Could Bring Significant Delays Across Delaware County

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Drivers using I-476 and a nearby stretch of I-95 should prepare for overnight lane closures from Sunday, August 16, through Thursday, August 20, as PennDOT continues work on a $10.4 million traffic-management project designed to improve congestion response and roadway safety.

On southbound I-476, lane closures will affect the highway between the County Line Road overpass and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) Interchange in Radnor Township, as well as between U.S. 30 and the West Chester Pike Interchange through Radnor, Haverford and Marple townships.

Additional lane closures will affect both northbound and southbound I-476 between the U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) Interchange and the Sproul Road overpass in Marple Township.

Farther south, both directions of I-476 will also see lane restrictions between the MacDade Boulevard and Baltimore Pike interchanges through Nether Providence, Springfield and Ridley townships…
