A new air show that would feature aerial stunts by the United States Navy’s Blue Angels, military jets, drone displays, fireworks, and other famous aircraft is being proposed for the Ocala International Airport.
The Ocala City Council will issue a final vote on Tuesday for an agreement with JLC AirShow Management, LLC to organize, produce, and manage a major regional air show in the spring of 2027 at the Ocala International Airport, which is located at 1770 SW 60th Avenue in Ocala.
The proposed agreement for the “Wings Over Ocala, Florida Airshow” establishes an inaugural three-day festival scheduled for April 30 through May 2, 2027, with additional spring events planned for 2028 and 2029.
The proposed performer lineup is set to be headlined by the United States Navy Blue Angels Demo Team, alongside potential demonstrations from military jet teams, warbird rides, twilight drone light displays, and fireworks.
Under the turn-key agreement, JLC AirShow Management would serve as the exclusive event producer, coordinating performer contracts, ticketing, marketing, concessions, sanitation, and off-site parking and shuttle logistics at its own expense…
