Motorcyclists hit the roads for the ninth annual Officer Brian Shaw Memorial Ride.
Billed as the largest charity motorcycle ride in Western Pennsylvania, the event kicked off Saturday afternoon in Cheswick.
It’s held in honor of New Kensington police Officer Brian Shaw, who was fatally shot while conducting a traffic stop in 2017. Shaw’s convicted killer, Rahmael Holt, was sentenced to death three years later.
“One evil act doesn’t define what Officer Shaw was about,” said Eric Felack, communications coordinator for the ride. “His pride in the community and his dedication to his profession was really important to him, and continuing his memory is our mission.”…
