Donald Monarch filed the lawsuit against Boca Hi Suites, LLC, doing business as the Holiday Inn & Suites at 701 NW 53rd Street, in Palm Beach County Circuit Court on August 13. According to the complaint reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com and published in its entirety below, Monarch stepped barefoot off the bed in his hotel room on July 11 and landed on a protruding piece of metal, slicing open the bottom of his foot.
The lawsuit accuses the hotel of negligence, alleging it failed to properly inspect, maintain and repair the room, and failed to warn guests about the hazard.
