A Parker County district judge sentenced an illegal immigrant to a total of 40 years in a state penitentiary after the man pleaded guilty to three felony drunk driving charges Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Daniel Rascon-Sainz, 22, of Mexico, was convicted of killing Cora Estep, 71, of Azle, and severely injuring her sister, Wanda King, and niece, Ryan Jones in a Dec. 8, 2024, crash on Farm-to-Market Road 730 South between Weatherford and Azle. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for intoxication manslaughter and 10 years each for two intoxication assault offenses.
