MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – On this day, August 16, 1977, music icon Elvis Presley died at 42 years old.
Doctors said Presley died of a heart attack, likely because of his addiction to prescription drugs. The death of the ‘King of Rock and Roll’ brought mourning fans to Graceland, his home in Memphis.
