HONOLULU (KHON2) — The aloha spirit is thriving in the Hawaiian Islands as the community comes together to help those in need amid Tropical Storm Lala.
KHON2 was surveying the Tantalus area during our storm coverage and spotted a Good Samaritan helping another woman after a downed tree fell in front of her mother’s house.
When could Lala move away from Hawaii?
The woman and her husband originally brought chainsaws to help clear the downed tree, but upon getting to the scene, they realized the task was much bigger than they thought.
That’s when their plan changed and their neighbor stepped in…
