Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion marks 38 years in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI — Thousands gathered in Cincinnati this weekend for a tradition that has spent nearly four decades celebrating Black families while connecting them with resources and opportunities.

The Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion returned for its 38th year with four days of food, music, culture and community programming. This year’s theme, “Resounding Resilience,” focused on the strength of Black families and communities.

“Resilience looks like what we have been all of our lives,” said Tracy Artis, executive director of the Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion. “Literally we’ve been struggling, fighting, but conquering.”…
