EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Dozens of Mid-Michiganders took to the Farmers Market Sunday afternoon to spread a little kindness to our oldest citizens.
The Senior Appreciation Day event was hosted by the Prime Time Senior Program.
Organizers say they collaborated with the Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Chapter to spread awareness about the illness.
Vendors and community partners provided resources and local services to older adults to help keep them stay active within society. The Alzheimer’s Association supports people who have been diagnosed with the illness and offers them group and education programs in the area.
