MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — An elderly woman crashed into four parked cars Sunday afternoon outside a Publix in Mobile, according to witnesses.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. at the Publix on Florida Street off Old Shell Road.
Witnesses said the woman’s vehicle first struck a barricade near the store entrance before accelerating through the parking lot. Employees and pedestrians had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
Mobile Police and Mobile Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene.
