PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police said that a man injured in a shooting on Oxon Hill Road on Aug. 7 died from his injuries over the weekend.
The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said that around 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 7, officers responded to the 6200 block of Oxon Hill Rd. for a reported shooting. There, they found 45-year-old Oscar Guevara, who had been shot.
Responders took Guevara to the hospital. He died on Aug. 16.

PGPD said that immediately after the shooting, detectives with its Gun Crimes Unit responded to investigate. Police identified 25-year-old Jeremiah Hammond of Washington, D.C., as the suspect and charged him with attempted murder and other charges on Aug. 8…
