Waxhaw doctor sentenced for conspiring to illegally distribute tens of thousands of prescriptions

WAXHAW, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Waxhaw doctor accused of illegally prescribing drugs has been sentenced to prison, according to the Department of Justice.

Henry Ronald Emery, Jr., 54, was sentenced to six months in prison followed by one year of supervised release for conspiring to allow his DEA registration number to be used for thousands of unlawful buprenorphine prescriptions.
