A 27-year-old Fort McCoy man was arrested on a felony warrant after deputies used social media tips and Bluetooth data to link him to a residential burglary involving a stolen pickup truck and power tools.
On Wednesday, July 29, a victim reported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office that their residence had been burglarized earlier that day. According to the arrest report, a suspect made forced entry into a shed on the property between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., stealing approximately $1,800 worth of miscellaneous tools and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that belonged to a second victim.
The following day, a relative of one of the victims published a post on a Facebook group, asking the community for information on the missing truck.
