Inside the Roanoke plant building advanced night vision for U.S. military

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Within a high-security facility in Roanoke, engineers are designing and building the next generation of night vision goggles for the U.S. military and its global allies.

Elbit Systems of America’s is one of only two manufacturers in the entire nation trusted to engineer and manufacture night vision goggles for the United States Military. Now, driven by rising global demand, the local facility is expanding its operations and adding hundreds of local jobs.
