PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — The Providence Fire Department is adding another rescue and replacing aging ambulances as emergency medical calls continue to make up the overwhelming majority of the department’s workload.
About 80% of calls to the Providence Fire Department are EMS-related, according to city officials.
