Controversial “Project Flash” will no longer move forward in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – The controversial “Project Flash” initiative in Franklin County will no longer move forward, Boone District Supervisor Mike Meredith confirmed to 10 News.

Meredith would not confirm why the project was canceled, but he said the decision was made late last week. He added that the board will need to hold a closed-session meeting in the future to determine what details can be released about the now-defunct project.
