A Jackson County jury found a Kansas City man guilty of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend on her 21st birthday, according to court documents.
The jury found Rasheed M. Turner, 26, guilty Friday of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the May 13, 2025, killing of Layla A. Freeman of Kansas City.
