Hudson County to begin long-term Vision Zero work on JFK Boulevard next week

The Hudson County government will begin long-term Vision Zero work on John F. Kennedy Boulevard next Monday, with the project expected to last approximately 18 months.

“JFK Boulevard is an important corridor for residents, businesses, and visitors throughout Hudson County, and these improvements will help make it safer, more accessible, and more welcoming for everyone who uses it,” County Executive Craig Guy said in a statement.

“We are proud to invest in the infrastructure that our communities rely on every day, and I thank our partners and residents for their patience and cooperation as this important work moves forward.”

The project, which will be led by Garfield-based Zuccaro Inc., will include the installation and improvement of curbs, sidewalks, stamped concrete walkways, ADA-complaint ramps, new traffic signals, and street trees…
