Holly Ridge plans purchase of former snack food plant

HOLLY RIDGE, N.C. (WECT) – The Town of Holly Ridge is under contract to buy the former J&J Snack Foods manufacturing plant at 312 Sound Road, nearly a year after the facility abruptly closed and 48 jobs were lost.

Holly Ridge announced Monday, Aug. 17, that it is considering the property for a community center, town offices and an Emergency Operations Center, among other possible uses.
