COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Cannabis has been legal in Ohio for three years, but legal fights between the marijuana industry and the hemp industry are raising questions about the rules for dispensaries and consumers.
Hemp businesses are on the defensive, with Ohio’s new cannabis law—also called Senate Bill 56—banning most of their products and licensed marijuana dispensaries suing them in court. As part of their legal strategy, the hemp industry now alleges that the dispensaries have not always followed the letter of the law.
