Montgomery Public Schools stressing student safety on buses during extreme heat

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – If you’ve ever been on a school bus this time of year, you know it can get much hotter than what it says on the thermometer.

“If the windows are down with the metal that we have there, it is probably at least seven to 10 degrees hotter,” said Montgomery Public Schools Transportation Director Brian Thornton.
