Man accused of shooting at camera in North Wilmington community

A Wilmington man is charged with reckless endangering and other crimes after police say he opened fire with a shotgun toward a camera that was mounted on a sign.

New Castle County Police officers responded to Graylyn Crest late Saturday to investigate reports of a man walking with a shotgun discharging the firearm and obtained a description of a possible suspect.

According to Police, 64-year-old Kevin Smith was not armed as he was taken into custody while he was sitting on a swing in a home’s front yard on Graywell Road.

The damaged camera was the property of Delaware State Police…
