Burn bans are now in effect in 64 of Arkansas’ 75 counties, with Lincoln County joining the growing list as hot and dry conditions continue to increase wildfire concerns across the state.
The latest count is four counties higher than the 60 reported Monday morning. Lincoln County had not been listed under a ban in that earlier update but is now included on the Arkansas Forestry Division’s statewide map.
Most of the Deltaplex region is now covered by county-issued restrictions. Burn bans are in effect in Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Grant, Jefferson, Lee, Lincoln and Monroe counties…
