Overland Park man convicted of killing social worker as a teenager dies in prison

EL DORADO, Kan. (KCTV) – An Overland Park man convicted of killing his social worker when he was a teenager died in prison.

The Kansas Department of Corrections said 39-year-old Andrew Ellmaker died in the El Dorado Correctional Facility near Wichita on Tuesday, August 18.

Ellmaker was found unresponsive in his cell, according to the department of corrections. The department said emergency responders were unable to revive him. An autopsy will be performed to determine his exact cause of death…
