Every major convention leaves behind a familiar problem: trays of perfectly good, untouched food with nowhere to go. In Las Vegas this August, three organizations decided that food should feed people instead of landfills.
Meals on Wheels America is hosting its 52nd Annual Conference and Expo at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from August 17–20, 2026. Rather than let the event’s surplus food go to waste, the organization is donating it through Caesars Entertainment’s partnership with The Just One Project and its Food Rescue Alliance.
Here’s how the model works:
The Food Rescue Alliance program lets The Just One Project repackage prepared meals that remain after meetings, conventions and events — increasing access to quality food while cutting unnecessary waste in the region.
