Accused killer attended victim’s funeral, donated to family before Portland arrest

Mahmoud Said Ali trailed fellow ride-share driver Anwar Osman from Portland International Airport, where both had dropped off passengers, to Portland’s South Waterfront neighborhood in the early hours of Aug. 4, police say.

When Osman stopped at a traffic light in front of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building off South Macadam Avenue, Ali pulled up behind him, got out of his car, walked up to Osman’s driver’s window and fired nine gunshots, police and prosecutors allege after reviewing video footage obtained from the ICE facility.

Ali then returned to his car and drove off, according to a probable cause affidavit…
