Since being founded in 2018, Buffalo Underdogs Rescue (BUR) has saved more than 2,000 dogs throughout Western New York and beyond. Half of those dogs in the rescue’s foster care came from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter (CBAS), which just goes to show how important this organization really is.
What is also incredible is that the dogs that are rescued are the real underdogs that would otherwise lead very unfortunate lives. We’re talking about the dogs that are seniors, or have medical issues, or need rehabilitation or behavioral support.
On Saturday, August 22, Buffalo Underdogs Rescue will host BUR Fest – a festival where 100% of the proceeds directly support the dogs in Buffalo Underdogs Rescue’s care. The funds help to cover veterinary and emergency medical expenses, food, vaccines, preventatives, and other necessities.
