ARANSAS PASS — The Aransas Pass Police Department has issued a warning to community members regarding a potential financial scam circulating in the area.
According to an Aug. 17 announcement, individuals have been contacting residents claiming to represent or be affiliated with the police department or the chief of police. The callers then request financial payments from the targeted residents.
