Wednesday Forecast: Near record heat with monsoon storms

Happy Wednesday!

It will be a hot day ahead with near record to record heat forecasted for many locations throughout New Mexico this afternoon. This morning low temperatures are quite mild, once again, ranging in the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s statewide. Storms today could drop localized heavy rainfall and bring gusty outflow winds. A few strong to severe storms cannot be ruled out of northeast New Mexico. If stronger storms develop heavy downpours, small hail and damaging winds will be the primary concerns.
