Lowes Foods will open a store in Lyman, South Carolina, on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 8 a.m. The store, located at 12189 W. Greenville Highway, is the fourth Lowes Foods in the Greenville-Spartanburg market.
The opening continues the Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based grocer’s expansion across the Carolinas. Lowes Foods announced plans earlier this year to convert the Kj’s Market in Lyman into a full-service Lowes Foods, part of a slate of openings and conversions that has included Waxhaw and Kannapolis, North Carolina, and Johns Island, South Carolina.
“Like all our Lowes Foods stores, our new Lyman store is very focused on supporting all things local,” said Tim Lowe, president. “Our commitment to local includes offering produce sourced through our partnerships with more than 200 farmers from the Carolinas and featuring a wide assortment of unique local products found throughout the store. This is a particularly great time of year to enjoy all the fresh summer produce from local farmers.”
Lowes Foods Originals
The Lyman store will feature the grocer’s signature Lowes Foods Originals, in-store departments unique to the banner. The Beer Den offers local craft selections, where shoppers can grab a pour while they shop or fill a growler to take home, with half-price pints on Thursdays and Friday Night Flights. Boxcar Coffee serves coffee and smoothies, while The Cakery features square cakes assembled in view of shoppers and topped with icing made fresh in-store with real cream and butter…
