A new opportunity is opening for Texas veterans ready to turn their ideas into real, working software. On Friday, Sept. 4, the Veteran SaaS Launch Lab arrives in Austin with a promise that’s as bold as it is accessible: no coding experience required. Veterans, service members, military spouses, and family members can walk in with an idea—and walk out with a functional software prototype.
Hosted at the Carver Branch Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the free workshop is presented by the Veteran Entrepreneur Network and industry expert Goddit, LLC, with support from the Texas Veterans Commission’s Veteran Entrepreneur Program. Together, these partners aim to remove the barriers that often keep aspiring entrepreneurs from exploring the fast‑growing world of software‑based business.
“Veterans bring problem‑solving skills, leadership, and real‑world experience that translate naturally to entrepreneurship,” said Megan Tamez, Director of TVC’s Veteran Entrepreneur Program and an Army veteran. “This workshop gives participants a practical opportunity to take an idea, build something tangible, and explore whether it can become a business.”
The Launch Lab is intentionally designed for beginners.
