10 AM, UPDATE: Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said crews responded to the school at 7:14 a.m. School officials said the school only contained about 20 students during that hour and other families were notified prior to coming to campus.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, there was no fire. A malfunction involving an air handler generated smoke, which spread into four classrooms,” a Duval County Public School news release states.
