SAN ANTONIO – A pet dog has tested positive for rabies in Bexar County for the first time in more than a decade.
San Antonio Animal Care Services and Metro Health said the case was confirmed by the Metro Health Laboratory on August 18.
The dog’s owner told investigators the male Husky mix killed a baby skunk in late July near the family’s Far Westside home inside Loop 1604. Officials said the encounter with the skunk was not reported at the time…
