SALEM, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke College freshmen will help build a Habitat for Humanity home near campus Friday as part of the college’s 21st annual R House project.
Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley and Roanoke College will begin construction of the home at 10:00 a.m. on Aug. 21 at 215 Chapman St. in Salem.
For 21 years, incoming Roanoke College freshmen have participated in R House as an introduction to community service. Organizers say every freshman takes part in the program…
