MT. VERNON, Ark. (KATV) — If you’ve ever wanted to spend a day watching knights clash, shopping handcrafted goods and eating your way through a medieval-style marketplace, the Arkansas Renaissance Festival is gearing up to make that happen again this fall.
The festival opens Aug. 29 and is set up as a large, immersive experience where costumes are welcome but not required. Visitors can show up in full Renaissance attire or in regular clothes and still fit right in.
