Beachwood Nanny Gets Life Without Parole in Rape of 12-Month-Old

GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio — A 26-year-old Beachwood woman was sentenced Thursday morning to life without parole, the maximum sentence available, for raping a 12-month-old child who was in her care while she worked as a nanny in Geauga County in 2024.

Judge Matthew Rambo sentenced Molly E. Duncan on one count of rape of a child under 10 years old, according to the Geauga County Prosecutor’s Office. Geauga County Prosecutor Jim Flaiz said, “This Defendant violated a position of trust and victimized a child.”

Prosecuting Attorney Jim Flaiz and Chief Assistant Prosecutor Nick Burling served as counsel for the state of Ohio.
