ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — One person was rescued from a flooded arroyo in Albuquerque on Thursday evening. The search continues for a second individual who was reportedly also stuck in the flooding.
AFR was dispatched to Four Hills Road SE at Rachel Road SE at about 6:30 p.m. An off-duty AFR firefighter who lives nearby was first on the scene. The Lt. threw a rope to an individual in the water, then helped him climb up a ladder. According to AFR, the person was not injured and turned down medical care.
Other AFR units began to search for another person reportedly in the water. That person was not found. The search paused at nightfall, but efforts are expected to continue tomorrow…
