53 acres of farmland in Lehigh County to be preserved

U. MILFORD TWP., Pa. – Dozens of acres of farmland in Lehigh County will be preserved, thanks to a Pennsylvania program.

Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) said 53 acres of farmland in Upper Milford Township will be permanently protected from future residential and commercial development through Pennsylvania’s Farmland Preservation Program.

The crop farm, identified as County of Lehigh #2, is among 34 farms totaling 2,565 acres approved for preservation by the State Agricultural Land Preservation Board, Mackenzie’s office said in a news release…
