CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for most of the Charlotte area on Friday, Aug. 21.
The watch was issued by the National Weather Service around 1:45 p.m., and will stay in effect until 9 p.m. Friday.
The watch includes the counties listed below:
- Anson
- Cabarrus
- Chester (S.C.)
- Chesterfield (S.C.)
- Cleveland
- Gaston
- Lancaster (S.C.)
- Lincoln
- Mecklenburg
- Richmond
- Stanly
- Union
- York (S.C.)
