AUSTIN (KXAN) — Residents served by Hays County’s Water Control and Improvement Districts 1 and 2 are under a boil water notice after the West Travis County Public Utility Agency ran out of water, according to district officials.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required Hays WCID 1 and Hays WCID 2 to issue the notice Friday, Aug. 21.
Affected customers should boil water before using it for drinking, cooking or making ice. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least two minutes and then allowed to cool before use…
