MUSTANG, Okla. (KFOR) – Mustang Public Schools released devastating news on Friday, sharing with parents and the community that one student passed away over the summer, and a former student died in a car accident on Thursday.
Mustang Public Schools returning to in-person classes
In the message released by Mustang Public Schools, the district learned of the passing of Cayden Odom, an incoming senior at Mustang High School. Odom passed away over the summer following an accident.
They also shared that today they also are mourning the loss of former-student and current EPIC Charter Schools senior Austin Turner. Turner attended middle school and high school within the Mustang community and remained close with many students and staff members. Turner passed away as a result of a single-car accident on Thursday.
Mustang Public Schools say their hearts and deepest condolences are with both Odom and Turner’s families, friends, teachers, classmate, and all that are affected by the loss.
