Along the 2,500 miles of the “Mother Road” from Chicago to Los Angeles, communities are celebrating Route 66’s centennial with food, music, and vintage cars.
Classic car and truck owners from several Albuquerque clubs gathered at a staging area under a hot sun in the parking lot of an outdoor mall. They greeted each other with smiles, handshakes and lots of back slapping.
