True linkswear, a South Sound-based golf-footwear company founded in 2009, has relocated its headquarters to Lakewood’s Oakbrook Golf Club, a public golf course that True’s co-founders and brothers, Ryan and Jason Moore, bought in 2012.
True created modern golf footwear designed for walking on and off the course and offers other apparel as well for men and women. Its footwear designs emerged from Ryan Moore’s experience as a PGA Tour professional who sought shoes that were more comfortable, a topic he and Jason, who was Ryan’s caddie from 2008-11, often discussed. South Sound Business featured the company and its evolution in 2024.
The roughly 10-mile move follows a Phase 1 renovation of Oakbrook’s clubhouse and brings True’s headquarters together with the course’s pro shop, a new restaurant, and a content studio, turning Oakbrook into a single destination where product innovation, golf culture, and community now intersect, according to a news release.
