A stolen car being chased by Redford police crashed into a Detroit man’s truck early Monday morning, leaving the family frustrated and feeling forgotten by authorities.
Caronne Cannon said he had just gotten home from work and was making food when the stolen car ended up on his front lawn on Lenore Street in Detroit.

“When I open the door and I seen that the car had hit my truck and it was up here in my yard, I was mad. I’m not going to lie. I was very mad,” Cannon said.
Redford police say the chase began after a resident called 911 to report several people trying to steal a car on Five Points Street. Surveillance video shows the suspect running from the crashed car after the collision.
