A 50-year-old Lakeland man has landed back behind bars after allegedly stealing a residential security camera that transmitted clear footage of his face before he detached it, authorities said.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd addressed the arrest during a video update, introducing the suspect as Nathan Diesson of Lakeland. According to Judd, Deeson approached an occupied home, noticed a surveillance camera mounted over the garage, and removed it while standing on a bicycle.
“He goes up to this house with people inside, and he sees a camera over the garage, and he steals it. Did you hear me? He steals a surveillance camera,” Judd said. “And you go, ‘Well, how did we know who he was?’ We looked at the surveillance picture off of the camera he stole, and he don’t have a ‘twofus’ right in the front of his face.”…
