When it comes to the best high schools in the country, Massachusetts is still at the top of the list.
The annual U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings for 2026-27 found that Massachusetts leads the nation in education, and a Cape Cod school – Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis – is in the state’s top 10.
“Massachusetts continues to lead the nation, with 47% of its high schools ranked in the top quarter of U.S. high schools. It is followed by New Jersey with 44% and Maryland with 43%,” the rankings found…
